There Is No Competition 2 (The Funeral Service)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Possibly the mixtape of the year?? I think so Fab does his thing on every track but what I really like about this mixtape is everybody is spitting heat on here. Next to Fab Paul Cain def follows suite with some crazy bars. Tracks that are my personal favorites "Suicide 2", "Hard", and "For the Money." I honestly don't think 20 tracks was enough for this mixtape I can play it from beginning to the end easily without skipping a track. For people who are not Fab fan's listen to this mixtape and I bet you he will make you a believer. Put money on it. Download

Snoop Dogg Interview On Invasion Radio

Snoop Dogg has got to be one of the coolest cats I know. I feel like since I been growing up with his music that I actually know him. But I like this interview in particular because Snoop is talking about the east coast west coast nonsense and putting his two cents on it. I never knew that Snoop was cool with Biggie and Puff I always thought that since Bad Boy and Deathrow was beefing that he automatically took his record label side. I was very wrong and Snoop is dropping some knowledge in this interview. Peep the video very interesting. After watching this video I have new respect for Snoop.

Solediction:Episode 2 (Behind the Scenes)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Today Team SD went downtown to film the next episode with the good folks over at Spaghetti Project. We had a great time doing the shoot. I took a couple snap shots while I was at the shop. Look out for the episode to drop sometime next month. And we also have a nice little project coming up with the shop for their 1 year anniversary. But tune into Solediction TV for more details. Check out some of the pics below.

Dream Deferred by Langston Hughes

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Since it is the last week of Black history month I thought I would recognize an African American I truly admire; Langston Hughes. I remember I had to do an assigment about him and once I read the biography and learned more about his life I was amazed. His writings were astonishing and I remember one poem in particular we had to memorize and recite in my English class I never forget it, it was "Dream Deferred." Now back then I never really knew exactly what this poem meant but as the years went by I started to realize what this poem means. I know that you can pick out many different themes for this poem but for me in particular the theme I get is you never know what will happen to your dream until you give it a try or else no one will ever know. Thank you Mr. Hughes for being a inspiration to generations to come.

What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
Like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
